Cheyne Records (pronounced Chainy, and named after Cheyne Walk in Chelsea) was founded in 2002 and is devoted to the perfect reproduction on CD of pre-1914 opera and classical song recordings, containing neither top cut nor sound processing of any kind. They include full British Library musical research for every song and aria. Speeds and keys are provided for each track.

Our CDs have been successfully reviewed in Gramophone, Record Collector, Classical Record Collector - and On the Record; but perhaps the most notable publicity Cheyne has received was when 32 of our McCormack tracks were played by Robert Cowan on his Radio 3 morning show CD Classics last September to commemorate the 60th anniversary of John's death.
